Educators Encouraged By Meeting with Runner

On Friday, April 18th, Saugus School Board member Rose Koscielny, CTA Executive Director Laura Terman, SCV PTA President Sabrina Utter, Newhall Board member Suzanne Soloman, and SCV UNISERV Chair Joan Oxman travelled to Lancaster to meet with Senator George Runner to discuss the state budget crisis and its impact on education in the Santa Clarita Valley.  Despite the fact that the meeting was scheduled to last no longer than 45 minutes,

Senator Runner met with the group for over an hour, providing some hope that Proposition 98 funds might be provided to schools in the upcoming year.
