The SCV Teachers Association endorsed the following incumbents in the November 2007 school board elections:

William S. Hart Union High School District

She is an experienced school board member, highly respected educator and lifelong Santa Clarita Valley resident. She has volunteered her time to numerous local non-profit organizations and has been recognized with various  awards for her volunteerism and dedication to providing innovative, quality education.

As president of a local high-tech firm, he brings a high level of business acumen to the Hart District board. He serves on the school construction task force of the California School Boards Association, and also volunteers his time to several local non-profit organizations, including the SCV Child and Family Center.

Newhall School District

As a member of the Newhall School District board, he has maintained a passionate commitment to strengthening schools. He is a strong advocate for providing a challenging curriculum, increasing communication with parents, promoting professional training for teachers, and expanding community partnerships.

She represents the Newhall School District board as a delegate to the California School Boards Association, giving the district a high-profile voice statewide. She’s proud of the success she and her fellow board members have achieved in fiscal responsibility, new school construction and promoting academic achievement.
